1. Tell me something about your life and the educational background
born 1974 in meerane
school
from 1991 – 1998 working in gastronomy, as stagedecorateur for theaters etc…
from 1998 – 2007 student at the bauhaus-uni weimar

2. When, how and why started you filming?
after a long time worked in the field of photography it was a materialbattle, and i needed a final stroke. It began the work at two narrative short films, together with other students.
but that was not also my thing. now i produced alone several musicclips, more experimental
and free. my interest in structures found a way and is unbroken until today.
3.What kind of subjects have your films?
my films are intuitive and feele´d workings, without script, without team.
some of them are completely produced at computers…it is always a searching for satisfying aesthetics in the smallest things.
4. How do you develop your films, do you follow certain principles, styles etc?
I follow only my feeling or the texts of the artist or good inspirations.
5. Tell me something about the technical equipment you use.
mini-dv, mac, pc, after effects, c4d, ableton live, final cut, etc…
6. What are the chances of new media for the genre film/video in general
and you personally?
the good: everybody can do something
the bad: everybody can do something
7. How do you finance your films?
i working always alone, i dont need much money at the moment…
8. Do you work individually as a video artist/film maker or do you work in a team?
if you have experience in both, what is the difference, what do you prefer?
the first (narrative) short films are groupprojects, but after this i working always alone, i love it.
9. Who or what has a lasting influence on your film/video making?
some first seen directors, aesthetics and always new technics and NATURE!!!
10. What are your future plans or dreams as a film/video maker?
i hope, after diploma, i can work in the same way for the next years, without projects decided by money need.
