    Interview: 10 questions

    1.Tell me something about your life and the educational background

    I studied in Architecture at Shih Chien University in Taiwan. Now, I‘m a graduate school student studying Art and Technology at TNUA.

    2.When, how and why started you filming?

    I started making the video when I was doing my project at college. It is one of the media for the presentation. The videos for the presentation were attached to the work.

    Last year, my final project was “build” of images, which I fascinated with. That’s why I try to learn more about new media after I studied in Architecture.

    3.What kind of subjects your films have?
    Usually about the architecture or the particular space which I interested in.

    4. How do you develop your films, do you follow certain principles, styles etc?
    I didn’t follow any principle.
    It was a intimate time. I could feel my loneliness most keenly through processing. Then I expect that the audiences can get some vibrations.

    5. Tell me something about the technical equipment you use.
    In this video , I used a rotating motor to control my shooting orbit.

    6. What are the chances of new media for the genre
film/video in general and you personally?
    Compared with traditional media, film/videos is younger.
    Nowadays, film/videos can show the speciality of indefinite and it’s communicatable, Technology exchange is open, artists should be more precise when it comes to a choice during the process of creation.

    7. How do you finance your films?
By myself.

    8. Do you work individually as a video artist/film maker or do you work in a team?
if you have experience in both, what is the difference, what do you prefer?
    I always work individually. Only once I worked with a sound artist YAO,Chung-Han in 2006. We did sound-Visual . It’s a nice experience.

    9. Who or what has a lasting influence on your film/video making?
    The exciting experiences from my college life and also the literatures, films and exhibitions that I have dabbled in during the time influence me a lot .

    10. What are your future plans or dreams as a film/video maker?

    I’ll continue the subject that I concern about and keep working on it, in the mean while I ‘ll try interaction installation to create more possibilities for my project.
