    Interview:10 questions

    1. Tell me something about your life and the educational background

I did my BA Honors degree in sound engineering, and although I chose to approach film from the audio perspective in order to have an overall understanding of the process, I am not attracted to “Hi Fi” sound. I like rough, realistic and non dominant sound.

    2. When, how and why started you filming?

4 years ago, I started by making my own short films. I did it because I ad to know what its like to be in charge of so much magic

3.What kind of subjects have your films?

Usually what goes on between 2 people, be it two brothers, couples or 2 random acquaintances

4.How do you develop your films, do you follow certain principles, styles etc?

Nope. I really play it by ear each time again. The only principles I follow is what feels right for the film. For example – my last film was scripted to exactness; the one I’m working on now is loose and open for interpretation
    .
    5. Tell me something about the technical equipment you use.

Mostly digital cameras (Hd moer often than not). I like FCP studio, and use motion and FCP as well as Pro tools.

    6. What are the chances of new media for the genre film/video in general and you personally?

I THINK THERE IS NO REASON TO TALK ABOUT A MEDIUM’S CHANCES WHEN IT’S ALRAEDY PROVEN TO BE HERE TO STAY..

    7. How do you finance your films?

Alone.. through my work in TV

    8. Do you work individually as a video artist/film maker or do you work in a team?
if you have experience in both, what is the difference, what do you prefer?

Always with others; Otherwise, the best thing about cinema – the versatility of talent, is lost..

    9. Who or what has a lasting influence on your film/video making?

Books I read, films I see, people I meet, people I work with.

    10. What are your future plans or dreams as a film/video maker?

Hope to do a few more shorts, and writing a feature for the first time; Hope to get it over the line one day..
