    Interview: 10 questions

    1. Tell me something about your life and the educational background.

Well, my father is a graphic designer and a photographer, so I was always in some kind of contact with the visual arts. I was always more intersted in drawing than in photography although I like photography too. Unfortunately, during my education I had very little contact with this profession (the visual arts, I mean). It was basicly always up to me to find out new things, even during my time at the university.

    2. When, how and why started you filming?

I think it was in the grammar school that I started to make first movies. But you would hardly call them movies. They were not longer then 10 sec. The movie I’m submiting is my first real movie. I don’t know how or why I started. I just wanted to.

3.What kind of subjects have your films?

I try to make them funny. I don’t know if I’m succesful.

    4. How do you develop your films, do you follow certain principles, styles etc?

I just make it up as I go along. I’m not what you would call a profesional.#

    5. Tell me something about the technical equipment you use.

    I use a Mac and… that’s just about it.

    6. What are the chances of new media for the genre film/video in general
    and you personally?

I think the new media gives us the possibility to reach people in more simpler and cheaper way, but it also creates more competition and more trash material.

    7. How do you finance your films?

I work with what I got. I don’t buy new stuff because I know the expences won’t be compensated.

    8. Do you work individually as a video artist/film maker or do you work in a team?
if you have experience in both, what is the difference, what do you prefer?

I work all alone… for now.

    9. Who or what has a lasting influence on your film/video making?
I am greatly fascinated by croatian animation. Croatia has a long tradition in the field of animation. I also like the japanese animation style.

    10. What are your future plans or dreams as a film/video maker?

That is up to the Cologne On-line Festival.
