    Interview : 10 questions

    1. Tell me something about your life and the educational background

All my life I was experimenting with variety of media from painting, music to digital video images and other more hybrid projects. I did a degree in paintings at The Academy of Arts in Ljubljana/Slovenia and just finished Masters Degree at Central Saint Martins-Byam Shaw in London. Most of my education went through activities of multimedia group Klon Art Resistance ….

    2. When, how and why started you filming?

I did learn a lot about video production from my friends Miha Horvat and Damian Cavazza in ’95 when we were experimenting on live audio/video works.

    3. What kind of subjects have your films?

My videos mostly address digital environment and technology. Two of my latest videos were about digital errors and error-correcting codes when transmitting digital data and about technological extension of human memory.

    4. How do you develop your films, do you follow certain principles, styles etc?

I’m interested in short videos with simple and precise structure. There has been a lot of collaboration with other artists and art theorists.

    5. Tell me something about the technical equipment you use.

It is all about affordable digital equipment and ideas…

    6. How do you finance your films?

    By myself…

    8. Do you work individually as a video artist/film maker or do you work in a team? if you have experience in both, what is the difference, what do you prefer?

Most of my work is collective. Sharing and exchanging ideas is the core of my artistic production. Here is brilliant statement from Paul D. Miller:” I do not see my concepts as separate units, my purpose is a interaction of a various connections. I try to diffuse what I do into a lot of different contexts and platforms. It is all about art as a collective conversation.”

    10. What are your future plans or dreams as a film/video maker?
Currently, I plan to have a new video work completed and start working on new live based audio/video project.
