Interview: 10 questions

1. Tell me about your life and the educational background
I was educated in a Catholic and petit bourgeois fascist. God and country were the main lessons I received. He studied Philosophy and Fine Arts at the Complutense University, Madrid. I completed my artistic training with courses in art-oriented programming.

2. When, how and why you started filming?
I made my first videos of the early ’90s, then was an artist, painter primarily, I started because I think an artist should not be limited to a specific technique, but research in any field that you may have.

3. What kind of topics is his films?
On the subject of my movies is the ambiguous and arbitrary real world. The reality acts like a living thing that shows us many facets of the same.

4. How to develop your films, do not follow certain principles, styles, etc?
Normally my movies are based on some material I have or find and develop in my mind. Normally I make a small script that can be modified during the development of production of the play.

5. Tell me something about the technical equipment you use.
I do not get staff. Preferable to use a HD DV camera, but the recordings mix them with other images such as photographs or video capture net art to manipulate with different progrtamas. I use any program that puts me to reach subverting.

6. What are the possibilities of new media for the genre film / video in general and you personally?
The possibilities are very large, you can use the recordings directly or subject them to different types of handling and processing according to the purpose you seek.

7. How to finance your films?
Finance my films myself usually.

8. Do you work individually as a video artist / filmmaker or if you work in a team? ” if you have experience in both, what is the difference, what do you prefer?
I usually work individually.

I guess the great masters of the picture: Wells, Kubrick, Viola.

10. What are your future plans or dreams as a film / video maker?

1. Dime algo sobre tu vida y la situación educativa
Fui educado en un ambiente católico y fascista pequeño burgués. Dios y la patria fueron las principales enseñanzas que recibí. He realizado estudios de Filosofía y Bellas Artes en la Universidad Complutense, Madrid. He completado mi formación artistica con cursos de programación orientada al arte.

2. ¿Cuándo, cómo y por qué le comenzó la filmación?
Mis primeros vídeos los realicé a principio de los años 90, entonces era un artista plástico, pintor principalmente, empezé porque opino que un artista no debe ceñirse a una tecnica concreta sino investigar en cualquier campo que se le presente.

3. ¿Qué tipo de temas tiene sus películas?
En tema de mis peliculas es el de lo ambiguo y arbitrario del mundo real. La realidad se comporta como un ser vivo que nos muestra multiples facetas de lo mismo.

4. ¿Cómo desarrollar sus películas, ¿no seguir ciertos principios, estilos, etc?
Normalmente mis peliculas parten de algún material que tengo o encuentro y que desarrollo dentro de mi mente. Normalmente realizo un pequeño guión que puede ser modificado durante el desarrollo de producción de la obra.

5. Dime algo sobre el equipo técnico que utilice.
No suelo tener colaboradores. Utilizo preferentemente una camara de HD DV, pero las grabaciones las mezclo con otras imagenes como fotografías o capturas de vídeo de net art que manipulo con diferentes progrtamas. Utilizo cualquier programa que se pone a mi alcanze subvirtiendolo.

6. ¿Cuáles son las posibilidades de los nuevos medios para la película de género / video en general ya usted personalmente?
Las posibilidades son muy grandes, puedes usar las grabaciónes de forma directa o someterlas a diferentes tipos de manipulación y transformación en función de los fines que busques.

7. ¿Cómo financiar sus películas?
Yo mismo financio mis peliculas por lo general.

8. ¿Trabaja de forma individual como artista de vídeo / cineasta o si usted trabaja en un equipo? si tiene experiencia en ambos, ¿cuál es la diferencia, ¿qué prefieres?
Normalmente trabajo de forma individual.

9. ¿Quién o qué tiene una influencia duradera en su película / vídeo haciendo?
Supongo que los grandes maestros de la imagen: Wells, Kubrick, Viola.

10. ¿Cuáles son sus planes futuros o de los sueños como una película / realizador de vídeo?
No tengo planes de futuro. Trabajo al dia.
